Spinach and Oats are both very healthy food options. I was looking in my fridge today, searching for something healthy and nutritious for breakfast. I saw a packet of whole wheat tortillas and next to it a bunch of Spinach. I immediately decided what to do…Wrap them together!
To make them more healthier I also added Paneer and oats to the filling. So this wrap is a combination of proteins, greens and fiber.
INGREDIENTS:
For Filling
Chopped Spinach leaves- 2 cup
Oats-1/2 cup
Grated Paneer-1/2 cup
Ginger Garlic paste-1tbsp
Chopped Onions-1/2 cup
fresh tomato puree-4tbsp
chopped Green chillies-1 or 2 (optional)
salt to taste
For Wrap
Whole wheat flour tortillas- 3 or 4
Butter- (according to taste)to grease tortillas
METHOD:
To make the filling first make all the ingredients ready. Now take a non stick pan and put oil in it.
Put ginger garlic paste and sauté for 5 minutes. Then add chopped onions and green chillies. Add tomato puree and cook till it starts leaving oil.
Add chopped spinach and cook for 5 minutes. Now add oats and salt in the mixture and cover. Cook till all the water dries up and you see a mixture of oats and spinach. Add Paneer, mix well and turn off the stove.
Take a tortilla and warm it up on a skillet/Tawa applying little butter. Put the filling in the center of wrap and add some ketchup if you want. Wrap it to make a roll. Serve with chutney or ketchup and Enjoy.
Hi nice recipe.. Can I add cheese instead of paneer in it?
yes you can.
